We previously reported a few of the January event features to come in Niantic's augmented reality mobile game
Pokémon Go, including special research rewarding Lapras with Legacy moves, incoming Unova creatures, an additional hatchathon, and more.
Although we reported that there would be creatures hatching and in the wild wearing party hats - Niantic hadn't disclosed at the time who they were. Now, however, we know who all five of the Pokémon are that are available with the party hats in the game, and all five of which can be found in shiny and standard form - meaning there are technically two party hat variants of each of the following creatures.
From eggs trainers will see Wurmple and Pichu hatch sporting the party hats, in raids players will be able to capture Raticate and Wobboffett also wearing the hats, while the normal hat-wearing Pikachu will be wandering around in the wild. As previously reported, this event will run until January 16 at 1pm PST and players will earn double hatch stardust and candy during the event.
