Pokémon GO is a free-to-play mobile game/app developed by Niantic based on the popular Pokémon series of games developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo. The game was originally released in July of 2016, and it quickly became one of the most played mobile games ever, although hype surrounding Pokémon GO has slowly decreased.
It seems that Pokémon GO will have a lot of people talking about the game, once again, as Niantic has finally confirmed that the app will be introducing Trainer Battles; a feature that, in all honesty, should've been there from the very start.
For the longest time, Niantic had been teasing Trainer Battles coming to the app, and it wasn't until today that they began posting a serious of teases on the verified Pokémon GO Twitter account, until they finally revealed that Trainer Battles are coming. The announcement, however, does not say when this long-awaited feature will release, but they do assure that Trainer Battles are coming soon.
