Like it or not, but people are still playing Pokemon GO regularly, and the government of Kumamoto Prefecture is well aware of this. Because of this, the government is doing whatever it can to entice players to make visits to the bronze One Piece statues located in the area.
For all the players who make the journey to Kumamoto Prefecture, they will find PokéStops at the location along with arts designed by One Piece creator, Eiichiro Oda. It doesn’t end there because Pikachu is slated to join the Straw Hat crew as well, so that’s a plus, right?
According to what we've read, Strawhat Pikachu is set to appear in the game from July 22 to July 29. It's only for a few days, sadly, but it should be enough time for fans to capture Strawhat Pikachu if they so wish. Not only that, but the hat itself will appear in the game as a custom avatar item.
The organizers are hoping to use this even to attract more tourists to Kumamoto, and you know what? There's a high chance of success. You see, Pokemon is a huge franchise around the world, and Pokemon GO is still played by millions of people, especially those living in Japan.
