Burmy, the bagworm Pokémon has been released in
Pokémon GO, along with its many forms and branching evolutions. It's quite confusing and a not outright explained, so here's a guide to how this new creature works in the augmented reality mobile game.
First of all, Burmy has three forms. These forms are donated as Sandy Cloak Fom, Trash Cloak Form, and Plant Cloak Form. All three of these have been introduced into the game already, but as the creature doesn't change forms, you'll need one of each. They share the same Pokédex number, but there are two evolutions of it, one of which has three of it's own forms.
Sandy Cloak Burmy can be found near beaches, Plant Cloak Burmy in parks and forests, and Trash Cloak Burmy in urban areas like cities and towns. Female Burmy evolves into a Pokémon called Wormadam which has three forms, so you will need to evolve one of each to catch' em all. Male Burmy, meanwhile, evolves into a separate Pokémon altogether - Mothim. This creature only has the one form, and will look the same regardless of which cloak your male Burmy was wearing during evolution.
