As March is upon us we know that it was inevitable that Niantic would make a change to the current Raid Battle line-up and now we know the Legendary creature that will be taking the spotlight. None other than the Flying and Electic Legendary Thundurus is overtaking Five Star Raid Battles and will be available to capture for the very first time in
Pokémon Go.
Since, as we stated, this pocket monster is a dual type of Electric and Flying, the best course of action to take when challenging this creature in Five Star Raid Battles is to load up your team with the strongest Ice and Rock Type creatures that you have at your disposal. With a Rhyhorn Community Day in the rearview mirror it shouldn't be too difficult for Trainers to evolve a Rhyperior that would be perfect for these battles.
Thundurus was initially discovered in the Unova Region and this is its debut in Niantic's mobile game making it another in a very long line to do so. Since Tornadus was recently featured in Raid Battles before this it is unlikely that this announcement will take too many Trainers by surprise but it is good to finally have the details on what's next for Five Star Raid Battles.
Thundurus will make its way to Five Star Raid Battles in
Pokémon Go on March 2nd at 1 pm PST. Will you be taking on this Legendary creature?
Armored Mewtwo returns in Netflix’s Pokémon: Mewtwo Strikes Back—Evolution and in raids in Pokémon Go for Pokémon day!
Pokémon Go is currently available on Android and iOS.
