Journey — the artsy and critically acclaimed titled developed by Thatgamecompany — has suddenly shown up on the App Store; becoming available for iOS users to purchase for $4.99 USD.

The announcement was made today by Annapurna Interactive, which is the game's new publisher — as the original game was actually published by Sony for the PlayStation 3 and later getting a port for the PlayStation 4; eventually releasing on Microsoft Windows.

Journey will see players taking control of The Traveller, as they explore a beautifully realized world full of secrets to a Grammy-nominated soundtrack; needless to say, it is quite an experience for anyone who plays it.
