Detective Pikachu was the first live-action film in the
Pokemon franchise. While the realistic Pokemon and visuals were undoubtedly the film's biggest draw, it also featured a pretty great soundtrack.
Henry Jackman is the man behind said score. He previously worked on
X-Men First Class,
Kick-Ass,
Captain Phillips to name a few. The soundtrack also includes several songs from the likes of Skrillex, The Honest Boyz, and Glen Crytzer. It will also feature a version of the
Pokemon theme song performed by Ryan Reynolds.
According to a recent tweet by Serebii (
@SerebiiNet),
Detective Pikachu's soundtrack will be released on vinyl in a month. July 26th 2019 to be specific. It's be a special edition and thus only a limited amount will be produced.
The record itself will be white and feature a picture of
Detective Pikachu emblazoned on it. The soundtrack will also include a movie poster, a 4-page booklet, and exclusive postcard. Check out the afformentioned tweet below:
Ace detective Harry Goodman goes mysteriously missing, prompting his 21-year-old son, Tim, to find out what happened. Aiding in the investigation is Harry's former Pokémon partner, wise-cracking, adorable super-sleuth Detective Pikachu. Finding that they are uniquely equipped to work together, as Tim is the only human who can talk with Pikachu, they join forces to unravel the tangled mystery.
