Negan actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan will stop fighting zombies and start battling giant monsters as Deadline reports that the Thomas Wayne actor has joined the cast of the live-action Ramapge video game adaptation. The film is spearheaded by WWE wrestler turned action star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
Morgan will reportedly play Agent Russell, an operative in a covert federal organization known as OGA. Rampage hits theaters April 20, 2018.
According to previous social media posts from Johnson, the film starts shooting this month.
Brad Peyton directs from a script penned by Ryan Engle, Carlton Cuse, Ryan Condal and Adam Sztykiel. The cast includes Johnson, Morgan, Naomie Harris, Malin Akerman, Joe Manganiello, Jake Lacy, Marley Shelton, PJ Byrne, Jack Quaid, Matt Gerald and Breanne Hill.
The film is based on the classic '80s arcade game where players take control of three giant monsters (an ape, lizard and wolf) and destroy urban landscapes with reckless abandon.
