While we're still patiently waiting for Techland's
Dying Light 2, it looks like its critically acclaimed predecessor from 2015 still is a highly popular video game among players all around the world.
According to Techland CEO Paweł Marchewka,
Dying Light has managed to sell well over 16 million copies worldwide. Considering that the studio's previous major releases,
Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood and
Dead Island, have managed to sell roughly one million and five million units, respectively, there's no denying
Dying Light, which launched in January 2015, is the biggest success in Techland's history.
The original game's outstanding sales results have reportedly allowed Techland to start developing two major video games with a shared budget of 300 million zloty (roughly $80 million) simultaneously. While we know that one of those titles is the upcoming
Dying Light 2, that will be launching this year for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, it's unclear what the second title might be, with some recent reports indicating that Techland is getting ready to revive their sadly forgotten
Call of Juarez series.

Dying Light 2 is coming out in 2019.
