In the last couple of weeks, we learned that
Just Cause 4 will make some big changes to the old formula. While the first three games were focused on bombastic, not-stop action in colorful settings, the fourth installment is heading into a darker direction. The studio promises that we will uncover the truth of Rico’s father life on Solis and the origin of extreme weather conditions as we spearhead the rebellion to defeat the Black Hand, a militia responsible for the South American troubles.
In
Just Cause 4, Rico Rodriguez will lead the rebellion to defeat the villainous Black Hand and its ruthless leader Gabriela Morales, Rico's toughest opponent so far, at least according to Avalanche Studios. Interestingly enough, in the previous games the Black Hand served as side antagonists, helping foreign mercenaries and assisting dictators in their ambitious plans to enslave their people.
While we still have no idea who Morales is (please, don't be Rico's long-lost sister). Square Enix has released a brand new trailer for
Just Cause 4 starring "real" actors. In the trailer, a squad of wounded Black Hand soldiers attempt to explain to their leader how they managed to get beaten by just one man -- Rico Rodriguez. Be sure to check out the aforementioned live-action trailer down below:
