Nintendo found huge success with the NES and SNES Classics, prompting Sega to develop their own mini console, the Sega Mega Drive Mini, which will be released on September 19, 2019.  Nintendo will soon have even more competition as Konami will be releasing their own retro mini console, the Turbografx-16 Mini as the company made the reveal at this year's E3.

Pricing and release dates were not announced but 6 titles were revealed (with more to be unveiled in the coming months).  The first 6 confirmed for the North American version of the Tubrografx-16 Mini are:
  • R-Type
  • Ys Book I & II
  • New Adventure Island
  • Ninja Spirit
  • Alien Crush
  • Dungeon Explorer
Similar to the NES and SNES Classic, a separate version of the Turbrografx-16 Mini will be released in Japan and will have different titles. Confirmed games announced at E3 were:
  • Bonk’s Adventure
  • Dracula X
  • The Kung Fu/China Warrior
  • Ys I & II
  • Super Star Soldier
  • Dungeon Explorer
The console is a retro version of the original  NEC and Hudson Turbografx-16, which was first released in the late-80's (1987 Japan and 1989 North America).  During its early years, it outsold both the Nintendo and Sega console in Japan before a disastrous North American launch.Konami purchases the majority of Hudson Soft shares in 2001 before officially absorbing the company in its entirety in 2012.
