In January of this year, Bandai Namco announced that the Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme VS. Maxiboost ON arcade title was being localised outside of Japan, and that the game would be releasing as an exclusive title for the PlayStation 4 at some point in 2020.
Bandai Namco eventually revealed that the popular arcade title would be launching on PlayStation 4 on Thursday the 30th of July, which is only a couple of days from today, and bringing with it all of the action-packed mech fights the series is so well-known for.
Now that we are only a mere two days away from the launch of Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme VS. Maxiboost ON, Bandai Namco has shared a new trailer that reveals that the PlayStation 4 version of the game is actually introducing a new single-player mode called "Maxi Boost Mission".
As per the trailer's description, players will have access to over 200 missions, and will be able to customise their Gundam units with something called Enhancement Data; allowing them to further progress, and take on more difficult missions; missions that, the developer reminds us, are exclusive to PlayStation 4.
Since the arcade version of Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme VS. Maxiboost ON was not released outside of Japan — or for consoles until now, for that matter — it was expected that the developers would be adding a little something extra, and over 200 missions is quite the treat for fans of the series who have been impatiently waiting for the game's release.
