NieR: Automata was originally released in February of 2017 to some very positive reviews, with a solid 88 on review aggregator site Metacritic. Just this past year, Square Enix even announced
NieR: Automata Game of the YoRHa, which included a bunch of new content such as skins, dynamic theme, and the 3C3C1D119440927 DLC; further proving that the game still had a lot to offer to players.
According to Square Enix's Financial Results Report,
NieR: Automata — one of the company's newest action-adventure/role-playing intellectual properties — has managed to sell an impressive 4 million copies across the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
Alongside the announcement, Square Enix also released a "4 million units commemorative GOTY version" trailer for
NieR: Automata Game of the YoRHa; in order to celebrate this milestone the game has reached.
