It's Finally Official: ALAN WAKE REMASTERED Is Set To Be Released Later This Year!

Over the weekend, a leak from a retailer indicated that a remastered version of Xbox 360 classic Alan Wake might be on the way. Now, though, it's been made official as Remedy has confirmed that Alan Wake Remastered is coming to PC (via the Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X later this year.

We don't have an official release date yet, but it's expected to be with us sometime in the late Fall.

This marks the first time Alan Wake will be available on PlayStation consoles, but Remedy is free to do what they like with the fan-favourite franchise since regaining the rights from Microsoft.

Alan Wake Remastered is set to include both its original DLC chapters, "The Signal" and "The Writer," along with a new Director's Commentary from Sam Lake. We're also getting 4K visuals, so this should definitely be worth checking out for old and new fans alike when it launches on consoles.

There continue to be rumours of an Alan Wake sequel, so the timing of this re-release does make sense if that is indeed on the way. That too is likely to be available on the platforms listed above, but for now, we'll be sure to keep you updated as more about Alan Wake Remastered is revealed.

Here's the original trailer for Alan Wake:
