Not a week ago, Ubisoft unveiled the latest entry in their ciritcally acclaimed Assassin's Creed series, surprising fans with an exciting announcement trailer that introduced players to the new Assassin, as well as the game's new setting.
While Ubisoft gave us a jaw-dropping announcement trailer for Assassin's Creed Valhalla, they didn't really give us an official release date for the upcoming action/adventure title, although they did reassure that the game would be hitting store shelves at some point this Holiday.
A day before the game was officially announced, however, a listing seemed to reveal that a companion novel would launch on the 17th of November; more or less giving us a slightly more accurate release window for the game. Again, this was prior to Ubisoft officially announcing that it would release this Holiday, validating the aforementioned listing even more.
As it turns out, a new source has seemingly revealed the official release date for the game. The information comes from Reddit, where user Reqqu claimed that a local retailer added Assassin's Creed Valhalla for pre-orders, and that the game would be launching on the 16th of October.
This release date is not official, but it could well be a placeholder. What makes this interesting is the fact that the retailer, which the user opted to keep anonymous, has since updated the release date to "coming 2020".
Ubisoft tends to release Assassin's Creed games in October or November, so Assassin's Creed Valhalla releasing at any point in October is more than plausible. What do you guys think? Leave us a comment down below, and let us know.
