Every single Assassin's Creed game, even the minor ones, which released within the previous console generation are now wholly available to play on the Xbox One thanks Microsoft's backwards compatibility program.
Larry Hyrb, the Director of Programming for Xbox Live, recently took to Twitter to announce that two games are now available to play on the Xbox One - those being: Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter and Assassin’s Creed: Liberation HD.
When first released, Assassin’s Creed: Liberation was an exclusive to the PlayStation Vita but thankfully was later was released on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Like every Assassin's Creed game, Liberation focuses on the centuries-old struggle between the Assassins, who fight for peace with free will, and the Templars, who desire peace through control. The game is set between 1765 and 1777, and primarily features the series' first female protagonist, Aveline de Grandpré, an African-French Assassin around the end of the French and Indian War, in 18th century New Orleans.
With Assassin's Creed: Liberation finally being added, to Xbox One's ever growing list of backwards compatible games, it joins Assassin's Creed, Assassin's Creed II, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Assassin's Creed: Revelations, Assassin's Creed III, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Assassin's Creed: Rogue, as well as the more minor Chronicles titles, and Assassins's Creed: Unity, Assassin's Creed: Syndicate, Assassin's Creed: Origins which initially released on the One console.
