Last week, Ubisoft announced that
Odyssey's live events, unique chances "to face challenging battles and earn Epic and Legendary rewards" that would alternate between Epic Mercenary and Epic Ship contracts will begin on October 16th. The event was supposed to give players level 30 and above the opportunity to participate in limited time contracts to earn Epic and Legendary rewards.
Sadly, Ubisoft has announced that the first event has been ultimately scrapped. "
PSA: This week's live event was canceled - apologies for the inconvenience," Ubisoft wrote on
Assassin's Creed Twitter. The players were supposed to face Damais the Indifferent and "
rumor has it that Damais bailed at the very last minute. Apparently, he was intimidated by the idea of facing the misthios," the player.
Instead, Ubisoft will launch a new event that will give you a chance to try your navigation skills as "
as an epic ship is expected to arrive soon." The publisher gave us a hint when to expect the battle on the Aegean Sea - October 23rd. After that, live events will appear in the game every now and then. To take part in these events you need to check the nearest notice board or take a look at the one on your ship.
