Early in May of this year, Ubisoft revealed Assassin's Creed Valhalla to the world, and fans of the long-running series were ecstatic to find out that it would be focusing on a new Viking protagonist, and that the game was expected to launch at some point this Holiday.
Unfortunately, the announcement trailer did not feature any gameplay, but the developers at Ubisoft promised that a proper gameplay trailer for Assassin's Creed Valhalla was going to be released soon; which they did, during Microsoft's first look at the Xbox Series X presentation, and it failed to meet expectations.
The gameplay trailer for Assassin's Creed Valhalla was not a bad trailer at all, though, the problem was that it promised to deliver gameplay and it barely featured any footage on gameplay. To this day, actually, the video has over 54k dislikes and only 28k likes; needless to say, fans were disappointed.
Now Ubisoft has reddeemed themselves by finally releasing a proper — and we really do mean proper this time — gameplay trailer for Assassin's Creed Valhalla, which tells players everything they need to know about the upcoming title, including it's release date.
Over the weekend, we found out that the game's release date had been leaked, and that Assassin's Creed Valhalla could potentially be releasing on the 17th of November. Ubisoft has confirmed that the game will, indeed, be releasing on Tuesday the 17th of November for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Stadia.
Ubisoft didn't reveal when Assassin's Creed Valhalla will become available for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, but we do know that it will be backwards compatible, and players who purchase the game on this current generation of consoles will be able to upgrade to the newer version completely free of charge.
