Telltale Games have announced today that the first instalment of Batman: The Telltale Series will be availaible for download this August, though in a rather unique move it has also been confirmed that it will reach stores on September 13th. How will that work? Well, you'll get a special Season Pass Disc which will include the first of the five episodes with those later available to download as updates.

The actual digital premiere date will be made official next week, but this is a unique approach to the game's release and clearly a way of making sure that it reaches as many people as possible this Fall.

Rendered to look like a living, breathing comic book, Telltale’s vision of Batman features an award-winning cast of talent, including Troy Baker as Bruce Wayne, Travis Willingham as Harvey Dent, Erin Yvette as Vicki Vale, Enn Reitel as Alfred Pennyworth, Murphy Guyer as Lieutenant James Gordon, Richard McGonagle as Carmine Falcone, and Laura Bailey as Selina Kyle. Stay tuned for updates.
