Ever since
Batman: Arkham Knight released way back in 2015, and seemingly brought an end to Rocksteady Studios' Batman video-game series, there have been countless rumours which claim that the studio is secretly developing a continuation of the popular video-game series.
The rumours span from Rocksteady developing a Nightwing game, to a Wonder Woman game, a Superman game, to even a
Justice League game (all of those of course being DC Comics properties). Well, the latter seems to have just been given credence by a newly hired Rocksteady dev's social-media slip-up.
Eddie Stubbington recently took to Twitter (
@edstub207) to announce that he's now a part of Rocksteady's Quality Assurance team. The tweet in which he did just that also featured a gif which sent the DC fanbase wild. This gif featured a plethora of DC Comics heroes and villains.
Naturally, following the speculation and pressing by fans, the tweet was removed (and later reposted, however now sporting a different gif). Of course, it being the internet, though Stubbington acted fast in removing it, the original tweet was captured in screenshots - you can check out one of those below.
Now, while many fans have taken this as outright confirmation that the studio is working on a secret Justice League game, the tweet may have instead simply been removed as to not stir the pot by spreading misinformation. But you're welcome to keep your fingers crossed along with us in hoping that isn't the case.
