Back in March of this year, Bandai Namco announced that they were teaming up with developer Double Fine Productions to deliver a brand-new action game with rogue-like elements called
RAD — which is coming out for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Steam(PC).
One of the things that immediately stands out about
RAD is its aesthetic, which has been heavily inspired by the aesthetics from the 1980s. Not only is the game visually set in the 80s, but the music is also brimming with classic 80s synth pop tunes.
Today, Bandai Namco has released a launch trailer for
RAD, ahead of the game's launch on
Tuesday the 20th of August, that treats us to some action-packed gameplay and an original song by David Earl called "Remade Again" — which, again, also brims with the charm that only the 80s could deliver.
Take a look:
Playing as a teenage protagonist, you must venture into the Fallow — an ever-changing, radioactive wasteland filled with unknown and unspeakable creatures. It is here that you will find the solution to heal the world, and transform the cracked, barren landscape into a lush source of new life.
RAD will release for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC(Steam) on the 20th of August.
