Kicking off The Game Awards 2017, developer FromSoftware dropped a teaser for a mysterious new game that looks like it could be a sequel to Bloodborne, 2015's critically acclaimed action-RPG for the PS4.

The teaser trailer is less than 30 seconds in length and simply consists of a twisting, bloody rope that looks like it's attached to a bone. The teaser ends with the words, "Shadows die twice."

Other than that, FromSoftware only offered the following message alongside the YouTube video: "Here is a tiny glimpse into our new project."

It's not much to go on, but with PlayStation Experience this weekend and Bloodborne being a PlayStation 4 exclusive, it's possible we could learn more soon. That is, if this really is Bloodborne 2.
