Ikaruga is one of the most difficult shoot 'em up titles out there, which is one of the many reasons why fans of the genre love this game so much, so they were particularly happy to know that Nicalis was bringing the game back for current-gen consoles.
The game has been available for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch since 2018, and the people over at nicalis weren't done surprising fans, since in November of 2019 they announced that Ikaruga would be getting a physical release for the aforementioned platforms.
According to Nicalis, the physical release for Ikaruga includes a bunch of collectibles that will give players a pretty great run for their money, with a collectible Metal Earth model kit of the Ikaruga ship, stickers, and more.
Pre-orders for both the Ikaruga Limited Physical Edition and Ikaruga Hypergun Edition, have been available since the physical release was announced, and today Nicalis has released a trailer that reminds players that both editions are now finally available.
If you are interested in purchasing your physical copy of Ikaruga, be sure to visit Nicalis' official website for the game by clicking right here. It is also worth mentioning that this is a limited release, so you better hurry before they run out of stock.

A rebel pilot named Shinra must battle an enemy nation using a specially-designed fighter called the Ikaruga, which can switch between two energy polarities (black or white) at the touch of a button. Bullets that are the same color as Shinra's ship can be absorbed, while the opposite color will do damage - this polarity-switching mechanic is the game's core feature and the foundation for its stage and enemy design. It's now up to Shinra makes his final stand, as the Ikaruga might be the rebel federation's last chance to defeat the oppressive Horai regime!
Ikaruga is currently available for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
