Hi-Rez Studios is an independent game developer known for games like
Tribes: Ascend and
Smite, and are now bringing us
Paladins: Champions of the Realm, which is a third-person shooter-style game in the same vein of
Overwatch, that was originally released on Steam in September of 2016.
Once the beta stage is over,
Paladins: Champions of the Realm will be officially launching on the
8th of May and will reward their beta players with some interestig in-game events. According to the PlayStation Blog,
Paladins has seen some useful changes thanks to the feedback they got from players, helping them fix the UI, the polish, aiming and more.
As a way of saying thanks, Hi-Rez Studios will be giving out free Crystals to anyone who took part in the beta. For this, all players need to do is log in during the
Paladins Launch Celebration and they'll receive 200 Crystals, which are the equivallent to the manufacturer's suggested retail price(MSRP) of $5 USD.
For newcomers, they are also unlocking all of their 36 Champions for players to try out for free until the
7th of May, so there are no excuses for gamers not to try out the
Paladins: Champions of the Realm beta that is currently available for download.
Enter a fantasy world of ancient technology in Paladins, a team-based shooter with strategy elements and deep character customization. Through a unique collectible card system, players can amplify and augment a character’s core set of abilities to play exactly how they want to play.
