As part of higher tiers of PlayStation Plus, such as Premium, fans can enjoy a fair few games, including some first-party titles. Over two dozen, though, are going the way of the dodo, leaving at least two first-party games unplayable on current -- and even last-gen -- hardware. Sony conducted this same sort of clear out last year during May, but it wasn't nearly as bitter as this one as Resistance for many is a huge part of PlayStation identity despite the studio not touching it since the PlayStation Vita's Resistance: Burning Skies.
That's right, Resistance 2 and Resistance: Fall of Man will no longer be playable merely six months after being introduced into the PS Plus catalog. The game is only available as a streaming option for Premium members, meaning these games will just drop off of PlayStation's lineup sooner rather than later.
This isn't the frist time Sony has pulled first-party games from the service, with Horizon: Zero Dawn and Horizon: Forbidden West getting pulled, but unlike those, you can still purchase them and play them unlike the two Resistance titles. Notably, these aren't the only games being pulled from the service and most of them aren't first-party. Though, another first-party game is part of the line of outgoing games.
InFamous: Second Son, the 2014 sequel to Sucker Punch's PS3 romp, InFamous, is also fading away. But, since this was a PS4 game, you can still purchase and play the game even after it disappears from the higher tiers of PlayStation Plus.
