Capcom's new
Resident Evil spin-off title,
Project Resistance, has been a bit of a rollercoaster of emotions for fans of the series; believed to be either a
Resident Evil 3 remake, in the same vein of the
Resident Evil 2 remake, or
Resident Evil 8.
Project Resistance was revealed to be a multiplayer title for the most part, and that's when fans of the
Resident Evil series began to doubt this new project; hoping that the game would end up being more like
Resident Evil Outbreak and less like
Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City.
Capcom has shared today a new gameplay video for
Project Resistance, which gives us a good idea of what a full match actually looks like and — to be quite honest — it doesn't look good. While it isn't horrible, the game misses the mark and feels more like it should've been a survival mode in the
Resident Evil 2 remake instead.
Project Resistance still doesn't have an official release date, and hopefully Capcom can still add more stuff to make the game a bit more appealing; chances are, however, that most
Resident Evil fans will likely be skipping this one.
