We have know for a while now that Capcom wasworking on a brand-new title in the
Resident Evil series. Some fans speculated that it could be a remake version of
Resident Evil 3 in the same vein of the phenomenal
Resident Evil 2 remake.
Capcom then revealed that the secretive
Resident Evil project was actually called
Project Resistance, and would be a multiplayer experience involving, at the very least, 4 players and completing different scenarios; somewhat similar to those seen in
Resident Evil Outbreak.
Just recently, Capcom released an overview trailer for
Project Resistance, revealing that the game is actually a 4 vs 1 asymmetrical multiplayer game — where 4 players will have to work together to escape a specific area.
What makes this interesting is that there's also another player — who the game calls the Mastermind — that will have to impede that the other 4 players escape, by placing creatures, turning lights off, and even setting traps for the other players to fall into.
Capcom has also revealed that the
Project Resistance closed beta test will begin on the 4th of October and will end on the 7th of October, and players can sing up directly from the
game's official website.
Take a look:
Will you work with your allies as a Survivor, or will you crush their attempt to escape as the vicious Mastermind? The choice is yours in this 4 vs 1 asymmetrical co-op experience.
Project Resistance still doesn't have an official release date.
