Capcom's
Resident Evil 7: Biohazard has hit a new important sales milestone, surpassing
Monster Hunter Freedom 3 and
Resident Evil 2 to become the publisher's fifth best-selling game of all time. The game has sold more than 5.1 million units as of March 31, beating all
Resident Evil games, only beaten out by
RE5 and
RE6 and it's not the last good news for the Japanese producer and developer!
This year's
Monster Hunter: World has sold more than 7,5 million copies, surpassing action packed
Resident Evil 5 with ease, comfortably securing its "
best-selling Capcom's game of all time" position.
Interestingly enough, 80 titles developed by Capcom has crossed the one million sold units mark. It looks like after the publisher's rough years and controversial decisions (like on-disc DLC for
Street Fighter X Tekken) the situation is under control and Capcom will successfully launch its upcoming titles, including that game developed by Hideaki Itsuno (most likely
Devil May Cry V). Check out the full list:
1. Monster Hunter: World – 7,5+ million
2. Resident Evil 5 – 7,3 million
3. Resident Evil 6 – 7,1 million
4. Street Fighter II – 6,3 million
5. Resident Evil 7 – 5,1 million
6. Resident Evil 2 – 4,96 million
7. Monster Hunter Freedom 3 – 4,9 million
8. Monster Hunter X – 4,3 million
9. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate – 4,2 million
10. Monster Hunter 4 – 4,1 million
When Ethan Winters opened his inbox, the last thing he expected was to find an email from his wife; she had been missing for three years. The message was simple: "Come get me," and an address in Louisiana. This leads Ethan to a decrepit mansion in the heart of the bayou. The place has a seriously creepy vibe, but Ethan continues his search – until a stranger attacks him and knocks him unconscious. Ethan has no idea what awaits him when he wakes up...for he is now in the clutches of the Baker family.
