Gears of War E-Day Is Collabing With Liquid Death For Some Cool Cosmetics And A Pint Glass

Gears of War: E-Day wants you to buy a tallboy. The Liquid Death collab requires players to purchase Liquid Death Energy at participating U.S. retailers through November 30 and you unlock an in-game pack headlined by Chainsaw Flex, a Legendary animated pose that slaps onto any playable character.

The same pack adds Liquid Death banners, emblems, and icons. There are two cosmetic sets, one with the Liquid Death skull and one with extra brand art. The pose is the thing people will actually equip in a victory screen.

The claim path is through a website, not a code printed under a tab. Go to liquiddeath.com/freechainsaws, connect a retailer account, then buy Liquid Death Energy online or in store through that chain. There are five doors you can buy them from: Amazon, Target, Walmart, Instacart, and Kroger. U.S. only. September 22 through November 30, 2026.

Liquid Death Energy is the a unique drink not the same as every mountain-water can in the cooler. It has 5 calories, zero sugar, and 100mg of caffeine. Buy the energy line through a linked retailer if you want the pack for E-Day.

A separate merch drop lands soon as well. A limited Liquid Death x Gears of War: E-Day chainsaw pint glass for $25. That glass does not replace the drink purchase. One path is the pose. The other is a shelf item. Pay for both if you want both.

This is not the first time we have seen Gears Of War collab with brands. Gears of War 4 had a Totino's skin push. Judgment and later entries ran Rockstar Energy codes. You buy the grocery, you get the swagger. Chainsaw Flex is the 2026 version, timed so the pose is sitting in inventories when Early Access opens.

For Gears Of War E-Day, Pre-install starts September 29 at 8 a.m. Pacific on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, and Steam. Premium Early Access is October 1. Launch and Game Pass Ultimate / PC Game Pass are October 6. The Liquid Death window runs six weeks past launch, so you can still grab the pose after you have already chainsawed something in Kalona.

E-Day is a Coalition prequel set 14 years before the 2006 game. Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago are home when the Locust punch through the city. The Lancer chainsaw is the series joke and the series weapon. Putting a flex animation behind an energy drink is on-brand to the point of parody, which is why Liquid Death is the partner instead of a generic sports drink.

Xbox is also running a Hollywood & Vine street takeover on September 30, complete with an Emergence Hole and a Corpser statue. That event is first-come, first-served, 18-plus, 500 people.

Are you actually buying the tallboys for Chainsaw Flex, or are you waiting to see the pose on someone else in October? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
