Capcom's fantastic
Resident Evil 2 remake is still giving players a lot to talk about, especially those who grew up playing the original games and have seen the series become something more of an action series — and now back to its survival horror roots.
If there's one thing that long-time fans of the
Resident Evil series missed about the old games were the sheer amount of jump scares; which Capcom would strategically place in different areas of the games in order to surprise fans when they least expected it.
Today, Capcom has released a funny video that shows us some of those infamous, but much-needed jumpscares that made the series a household name and how some players from the Twitch and YouTube gaming communities react to these. It is worth mentioning, however, that the video does contain some spoilers but nothing too major.
Take a look:
The genre-defining masterpiece Resident Evil 2 returns, completely re-built from the ground up for a deeper narrative experience. Using Capcom’s proprietary RE Engine, Resident Evil 2 offers a fresh take on the classic survival horror saga with breathtakingly realistic visuals, heart-poundingly immersive audio, a new over-the-shoulder camera, and modernized controls on top of gameplay modes from the original game.
Resident Evil 2 is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam.
