Marvel's Spider-Man has really started something special, pleasing millions of fans of the comicbook character and even introducing newcomers to the wall-crawling superhero.
While
Marvel's Spider-Man may be the first
Spidey game for some players, others have been playing
Spider-Man titles for almost 20 years, or more. Neversoft's
Spider-Man, released in 2000, is still regarded as one of the best titles of the superhero—especially its brilliant sequel by Vicarious Visions:
Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro.
Some other fans may have been introduced to the character with the Sam Raimi
Spider-Man movie tie-in, which even had Tobey Maguire, the actor that played the character in the movies, voicing Spider-Man. What many people may not know is that Josh Keaton, known among Spider-Man fans for his work on the fantastic
Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon, was also considered to voice the character in the game but ended up voicing Harry Osborn instead.
