Marvel's Spider-Man has been out for a few months now, quickly becoming one of the best-regarded superhero games ever made, right up there with Rocksteady's critically acclaimed Batman Arkham series — which set the bar really high for superhero games; a bar that Spider-Man had no trouble reaching.

All of the success that Marvel's Spider-Man has had comes from its developer, Insomniac Games, who set out to making the best Spider-Man game they could, taking ideas from other successful Spider-Man titles and incorporating the best ones in their game.

Elan Ruskin, game developer who works at Insomniac Games, has recently revealed an interesting trick that they used in order to make the city of New York in Marvel's Spider-Man feel even bigger than it is by seamlessly using different camera angles.

Everyone who's played Marvel's Spider-Man knows about that fantastic opening to the game, in which Spider-Man rushes to Fisk Tower to arrest the Kingpin. It turns out that after Spider-Man gets to Tower Fisk he seamlessly proceeds to enter the building.

Since the interior of the building is larger than the exterior, the devs at Insomniac used some clever camerawork to use more memory for the building as they slowly deconstruct Manhattan for the seamless transition; making for quite the epic opening scene.
