Insomniac Games' Spider-Man is one of the most anticipated games of the year and the team responsible for the Spyro The Dragon, Ratchet & Clank, and Resistance series will hopefully craft a product that will be as good as Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham series, as the devs don't hide the fact that the Arkham games and their success had some influence on their upcoming Spider-Man game.
James Stevenson, who works as community director for the development team, recently posted a new image for the PlayStation 4 exclusive that will serve as a cover art for various European outlets. The wonderful artwork was made by Alexander Lozano, the artist that created concept art and promotional images for Marvel Studios' Avengers: Infinity War, Captain America: Civil War, and obviously, Spider-Man: Homecoming.
The cover art features a plenty of Easter eggs that every fan of Peter Parker should instantly recognize, including Oscorp Tower and the offices of J. Jonah Jameson's Daily Bugle. Be sure to check out Lozano's wonderful art on his
ArtStation page.
Spider-Man will be shown at this year's E3 as Sony and PlayStation's presentation / media briefing will take place on Monday, June 11 at 6 PM PT / 9 PM ET.
Starring one of the world’s most iconic Super Heroes, Marvel’s Spider-Man features the acrobatic abilities, improvisation and web-slinging that the wall-crawler is famous for, while also introducing elements never-before-seen in a Spider-Man game. From traversing with parkour and unique environmental interactions, to new combat and blockbuster action, it’s Spider-Man unlike any you’ve played before. Sony Interactive Entertainment, Insomniac Games, and Marvel have teamed up to create a brand-new and authentic Spider-Man adventure. This isn’t the Spider-Man you’ve met or ever seen before. This is an experienced Peter Parker who’s more masterful at fighting big crime in New York City. At the same time, he’s struggling to balance his chaotic personal life and career while the fate of millions of New Yorkers rest upon his shoulders.
Insomniac Games' Spider-Man will be released exclusively on PlayStation 4 on September 7, 2018.
