Insomniac Games' recent hit Marvel's Spider-Man features a plethora of fun easter eggs referencing the long-running comics of which it's based. One of its best is a giant statue of a certain fan-favourite, alien Bulldog. However, according to Marvel Games Creative Director Bill Rosemann, this Easter Egg almost didn't appear in the game at all.
Apparently Insomniac faced legal issues surrounding the famous Wall Street Bull statue, so they compromised in a rather ingenius way - by replacing the bull with a Bulldog. When Insomniac approached Marvel Games to ask whether they could go ahead with the idea, they received a resounding "Yes, Please" - as Rosemann explained in his below tweet:
For those unaware of just who Lockjaw is; the beloved Bulldog is an Inhuman (who are basically alien X-Men who live on the moon), he's enormous on account of this and also has the ability to teleport. Lockjaw was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby back in December of 1965, in the 45th Fantastic Four issue.
What do you think of the awesome Easter Egg? Are you a fan of Marvel's teleporting pup?
Marvel's Spider-Man is out now exclusively on PS4.
