Sadly, SPIDER-MAN PS4 Won't Be At PSX Or The Game Awards

I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that a lot of people are very excited and intrigued by this upcoming Spider-Man game being created by Insomniac Games. The game was officially revealed this year at E3, but after the brief and fantastic trailer we were given, not much has come out regarding the game's setting, story, or gameplay. Themes recent thing we've seen for the game was in a recent ad for Playstation.

Because of this, fans have been hoping to get a first look at the game at the upcoming Playstation Experience. Sadly however, Insomniac has some rather unfortunate news for us. They took to twitter to let fans know that the latest time we'll actually see anything for the game isn't until sometime next year. "Hey, web-heads! We're not showing new Spider-Man PS4 content at PSX/The Game Awards, but we're hard at work on cool stuff to share in 2017."

Hopefully next year we'll have some news regarding the three things I mentioned earlier. One thing we do know for sure is that this game isn't connected to the upcoming Spider-Man film nor the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It's a seperate animal entirely, so does that mean this game could open up a gateway for a potential connected video game universe consisting of various Marvel heroes? This is a question I'd like to get an answer for, and hopefully Insomniac will have something for us come 2017.
