At launch,
Just Cause 4 was hardly a finished title, with some enormous technical issues, glitches, and even design choices that were literally (just) causing headaches, as some gamers were experiencing motion sickness while playing the explosive sandbox. Avalanche Studios has acknowledged the situation and announced that some upgrades would be coming to their latest title to make it more fun.
Avalanche has revealed what's coming to the game in future updates for
JC4, bringing visual upgrades that have been the core focus for the team to deliver the most immersive Solís experience possible.
In the upcoming updates, the studio will introduce major improvements in vegetation and water, including rainforest reworked shadows, underwater visibility, and various other graphical fixes to
JC4 rivers, such as improved foam and water wakes generated by boats, to fish now spawning underwater.
The Swedish studio has also promised that more improvements will come in the future, continuing their efforts to provide even more fixes for
JC4, such as stabilization improvements, 4K checkerboard rendering on consoles, and more. The developers are also trying to overhaul the anti-aliasing solution, in order to improve the overall visual fidelity and remove some of the noise. Take a look below:
