During yesterday evening's The Game Awards, Splash Damage announced that they're developing Transformers: Reactivate, a new online action game coming to PC and consoles. Very little has been revealed about the title, though we do have a brief teaser (first shared by us on SFFGazette.com) that offers a first look at the game's undeniably epic stakes.
"The gravest threat to humanity has arrived," reads a brief synopsis. "And it’s already won. Earth is no longer ours; it belongs to them. All we have left is our hope for the Autobots, as we salvage them from the rubble left behind."
It's added that, "Transformers: Reactivate is a 1-4 player online action game, developed by Splash Damage, coming to PC & consoles. With the Closed Beta planned for 2023, players, press, and content creators can sign up at the links below for future updates."

Transformers fans have been clamouring for a new video game for some time now, especially with the movie franchise in the midst of going through some big changes. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is set to be released next year, of course, though this title looks entirely standalone in nature (and not remotely like Michael Bay's approach to the series).
The fact this is an online multiplayer game suggests it won't be overly story-driven, though the narrative hinted at in this sneak peek has piqued our interest.
No release date for Transformers: Reactivate has been announced, and we still don't know which specific formats it will be available on. It looks like a fun game, though, and one we're definitely intrigued to see more from.
