Ubisoft has a long running habit of putting fictional versions of the company in its games, and Watch Dogs 2 is no exception. In a side mission titled "Ubistolen," players intercept a phone call from a Ubisoft San Francisco employee who mentions the previous leaks of Assassin's Creed games like Unity and Syndicate, but a less familiar name is also mentioned in the form of Osiris. What could that be a reference too? Well, many believe it's the long rumoured Egypt set next instalment of that franchise.
That was supposed to be titled Empire, but this could be a new name which has since been dreamed up by the company. It's worth noting that Osiris was the name of a secret project many assumed was for a new Prince of Persia game, but the signs are now pointing to it being for Assassin's Creed instead.
Interestingly, the mission also sees players breaking into Ubisoft's offices to steal a watermarked trailer which you can see below. Featuring spaceships and space stations, it seems like this could be a brand new space set title of some sort. That too has been rumoured in the past, and while it's possible that both of these games are completely fictional, we may now have a clearer idea of what's next for Ubisoft. What do you guys think?
