While Saber Interactive’s shooting extravaganza
World War Z has already sold well over one million copies since its launch on April 16th, publisher Focus Home Interactive is hoping to keep the fanbase engaged, with some new major content updates headed to
World War Z in the coming months.
In May, players will have a chance to download a new DLC featuring the long-overdue Tokyo missions and a new type of zombie. According to Saber, the zombie spits "
a deadly virus and can resurrect [itself] if not properly dispatched," so you definitely will have to change your tactics to kill the beast.
June will bring the "
extreme difficulty level" - a new six-skull difficulty setting with a unique reward, as well as bonus cosmetics and more. Finally, July is all about a new game mode and all-new weapons with the inclusion of "
the new Weekly Challenge mode, plus additional cosmetics and other goodies."
The aforementioned content will be free for all the existing player, with other major upgrades coming at a later date with
“a wave-based survival mode, private lobbies, the ability to switch classes during PvPvZ matches, field of view (FOV) and level of detail sliders on PC, and more." Check it out below:
Powered by Saber’s dynamic Swarm Engine, World War Z unleashes hundreds of fast-moving, bloodthirsty zombies at a time on players in a nail-biting action experience around the world, including New York, Moscow, Jerusalem and more. Play in co-op with up to 3 friends using six distinct classes and an arsenal of deadly weapons, explosives, turrets and traps to demolish the undead menace and survive another day.
