One of the things that had some players concerned about the recently announced Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time was the possibility of the developers adding some pesky microtrnsactions to the game. The N. Sane Trilogy didn't feature microtransactions, but Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled did, so the concerns were not uncalled for.
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled were published by Activision but developed by Vicarious Visions and Beenox respectively, so it is hard to say whether it was a choice made by the developer or the publisher.
Today we have some fantastic news for Crash Bandicoot fans who are already anticipating the release of the latest entry in the series, as developer Toys For Bob has confirmed that Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time will not be featuring any microtransactions at all.
Toys For Bob also revealed that the Totally Tubular skins for Crash and Coco will be included in all digital versions of Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time, for those of you worried that these may have been added to the game via microtransactions; or any other future character skins, for that matter.
Picking up where the original trilogy left off, Neo Cortex and DR. Nefarious Tropy have escaped their interdimensional prison and in doing so have fractured the boundaries of time and space. It's up to Crash and Coco to save the day.
Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time will release for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on the 2nd of October.
