Appearing at The Game Awards live from the Batcave, LEGO Batman shared a new trailer for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight while also announcing that the game will launch worldwide on May 29, 2026.
Announced back at Gamescom in August, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is a celebration of the Caped Crusader's rich history. A reimagining of the Batman universe with a fresh take on some of the most iconic moments, players will join the Caped Crusader in the fight to save Gotham City. Fighting alongside him are his trusty allies Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Jim Gordon, Catwoman, and Talia al Ghul, each with their own unique abilities, progression trees, combos, and gadgets.
The main story campaign of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight follows Bruce Wayne's journey from origin to legend. Players will experience his rich history of memorable moments from training with The League of Shadows to becoming the hero of Gotham City. Along the way, they'll face the ever-growing threat from across Batman’s Rogues Gallery, including The Joker, The Penguin, Ra’s al Ghul, Bane, Two-Face, Poison Ivy, Firefly, and Mr. Freeze. LEGO® Batman™: Legacy of the Dark Knight is a brand-new open world action adventure videogame that invites players to embark on Bruce Wayne’s epic journey to become the hero of Gotham City, inspired by decades of Batman films, television, comic books, and games, and jam-packed with Batman nostalgia, DC lore, and TT Games’ signature brand of fun-filled LEGO humor.
As is the case with other LEGO titles from TT Games, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will feature hundreds of unlockables and collectibles all inspired by Batman's rich legacy in film, television, comics, and games. This includes more than 100 suits and outfits for Batman and every playable characters; over 20 vehicles to cruise around Gotham City's open world in, including the legendary Tumbler and other Batmobiles and Batcycles; and over 250 props and trophies to display and customize in the Batcave.
With a release date now set, pre-orders for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight are now available. The Standardand Delux Editions of the game are available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S,and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store).
