Releases dates for Injustice 2 and Mass Effect: Andromeda may have been unceremoniously released via an
Xbox Pre-order rewards website. As you can see in the image above, Andromeda is slated for Friday, March 31, while Injustice 2 is apparently set for release on Tuesday, March 28. Previously, Andromeda was confirmed for a Spring 2017 launch so this date certainly lines up.
Are these the actual release dates or simply placeholders? It seems odd that two AAA video games, albeit different genres, would release in such close proximity with one another. However, another aspect lending credence to this posting is the fact that EA often releases their titles on a Friday, whereas most new video game titles launch on Tuesday. If these dates are simply placeholders, it seems odd that someone would go so far out of their way to make it look so authentic.
UPDATE 11:18 AM: Well that didn't take long. NetherRealm Studios president Ed Boon has taken to Twitter to refute the posting.
