PlatinumGames surprised us all last week, by not only confirming, but officially announcing that they were bringing back
The Wonderful 101; this time as a remastered edition for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam. This is great news for those few who got to play the original game that released for the Nintendo Wii U, as well as those who didn't because they didn't own the console.
Via a Kickstarter campaign, developer PlatinumGames set some goals depending on certain stretch goals they set; with the Nintendo Switch, Steam, and PlayStation 4 versions of
The Wonderful 101: Remastered being the first to be reached. The developer also revealed that a Time Attack and a brand-new 2D adventure were also amongst their initial stretch goals they were hoping to reach.
Today we have some great news, as the Kickstarter campaign for
The Wonderful 101: Remastered has now surpased their $1.5 million goal, which officially confirms that the game will be getting a Time Attack mode, and Luka's First Mission; the brand-new 2D adventure they mentioned.
PlatinumGames has also added, now that they've reached the $1.5 million stretch goal, a couple of stretch goals that will be adding a Remix Soundtrack and Luka's Second Mission once they reach the $1.75 million and $2 million stretch goals, respectively — which, at this rate, they'll reach in no time.
