After briefly experimenting with a solo mode last season,
Apex Legends will now give players a chance to queue up with just one other player in a limited-time Duos mode.
Respawn Entertainment announced that a Duos mode will arrive next week on November 5. The announcement was accompanied by a brief teaser video on Twitter that showed two characters fighting back-to-back. No other details were shared, so it's still uknown how matchmaking will work. It's unknown if you'll be able to queue up alone and be randomly matched with another player or if you must have another teammate in your party before queuing for the mode).
Apex Legends is currently hosting a special Halloween event called Shadowfall, but that will end on November 5 as Duos becomes available.
EA recently revealed during its earnings call that
Apex Legends has hit 70 million players worldwide. The free-to-play battle royale game
will remain the major focus for Respawn Entertainment as the studio looks to expand to new markets and even bring the game to mobile devices.
