Mega Man 11 is a game that fans of the Blue Bomber had been waiting for pretty much since
Mega Man 10 came out all the way back in 2010. It may not sound like 7 years is such a long time, but there was a lot of uncertainty regarding the character, and the series' future after lifelong producer Keiji Inafune parted ways with Capcom; which made fans believe the
Mega Man series had simply died.
When
Mega Man 11 was announced in December of last year, fans were excited to see Capcom finally attempting to bring back the character, especially during the franchise's 30th anniversary, but Capcom has had its fair share of Mega Man projects that were cancelled in the past 10 years; making fans doubt if Capcom would actually deliver this time.
Things looked pretty reassuring, though, since the new developing team seemed to know exactly what they wanted to do with the character, while also knowing what fans expected from a new entry in the series.
Mega Man 11 was finally released on the 2nd of October, and the game has managed to live up to the expectations—getting some great reviews from media outlets, and a lot of praise from long-time fans of the character, as well as positive comments from newcomers to the series.
Today, Capcom has released an accolades trailer for
Mega Man 11, showing off all of the well-deserved scores the game has been getting since its launch last week.
