Psyonix recently revealed the release date for its highly anticipated season pass, dubbed the "Rocket Pass", which will allow players to unlock items by ranking up tiers - similar to Fortnite. Find out more...
Psyonix has finally announced a release date for its highly-anticipated "Rocket Pass" which will serve as a Fortnite-esque season pass for their car-combat/soccer game Rocket League. The pass will be available from September 5th to November 26th.
The Rocket Pass was announced earlier this year as means of growing the game's progression system. It's essentially the same as the "Battle Pass" which features in Epic Games' popular battle-royale game Fortnite - wherein; by simply playing the game, as well as gaining XP which will go towards your level, you will reach "tiers" which will reward you with an awesome cosmetic item.
There is a free Rocket Pass as well as a premium one. The premium version can be unlocked at any time at the price of 10 keys (which translates to $9.99). While premium includes over 70 rewards (those being new cars, wheels, goal explosions, XP bonuses, keys, and more), the free version includes only 29 rewards. The premium items will also be of a higher in-game rarity than the free ones.
For more information, RocketLeague.com has an FAQ section which delves more into specifics - such as how long the pass will take to complete, etc.
