Hollow Knight is an indie Metroidvania game that has been getting a lot of attention pretty much since it released. The reason for this is the fact that it's just a fantastic game with a beautiful art style and brilliant soundtrack.
The game is developed by Australia based independent studio Team Cherry, who have done a wonderful job with
Hollow Knight. In fact, the game has already
managed to sell over 1 million units on PC, plus having a
fantastic launch on the Nintendo Switch; very well-deserved, too.
Over the past few days, Team Cherry had been teasing a brand-new adventure coming our way, and today they've finally revealed
Hollow Knight: Silksong starring Hornet: the skilled protector of the Hallownest.
From the trailer for
Hollow Knight: Silksong, we can already see how much more dynamic the game will be, as Hornet seems to be a way more athletic character than The Knight. The game still has no official release date but is expected to become available for the Nintendo Switch, Windows, Mac, and Lunix.
Team Cherry also mentions, on their official
Hollow Knight blog, that they have not yet considered developing
Hollow Knight: Silksong for other platforms, but they're definitely ruling the possibility out just yet.
Take a look:
As Hornet, princess-protector of Hallownest, adventure through a whole new kingdom ruled by silk and song. Captured and brought this unfamiliar land, Hornet must battle foes and solve mysteries as she ascends on a deadly pilgrimage to the kingdom’s peak.
Hollow Knight: Silksong still doesn't have an official release date.
