Timespinner is an action platformer game with
Metroidvania elements, developed and published by independent studio Lunar Ray Games, coming to the PlayStation 4, PS Vita, and Steam on the
25th of September.
The game is harkening back to the 8-Bit and 16-Bit era by making use of pixel art for the character sprites and backgrounds, taking us back to the Golden Age of platformer video games.
In
Timespinner, players take control of timekeeper Lunais as she explores a vast connected world and fights enemies. She can also use the '
Timespinner' to bend time, allowing her to solve puzzles more efficiently and get past some difficult platforming sections.
As a proper
Metroidvania, the game also encourages exploration as players are rewarded for finding secret areas that contain treasures. Players can also choose to play alone or asking their friends to give them a helping hand in co-op mode.
