Creative Assembly, the developer best known for the Total War series and the criminally forgotten Alien: Isolation teases a new IP. A job advertisement has appeared at the studio's website yesterday. The developer is looking for a senior meta game designer, lead systems designer, and a lead technical artist, all requested to work on a fresh IP.  As always, get ready for a juicy speculation.

The meta game designer's job would be creating "economy, progression and retention methods, leaderboards, challenges, world building and events". If that doesn't sound like a "game as a service" I don't know what does. We should also expect a more RPG experience, as the system designer will take care of "weapons, movement, abilities, gadgets, health and other underlying gameplay systems".

The job's requirements also hint at keeping in touch with "3rd parties and stakeholders", which suggests that maybe it will be a new IP in the world of video-gaming, but Creative Assemble is adapting an established brand from the realm of entertainment. Another movie-to-game translation would be welcomed, looking at a fabulous horror known as Alien: Isolation.
