Death Stranding will be making its debut in just over a month's time. Despite the fact that the game was revealed all the way back in 2016, it's still quite mysterious. For example, there's a multiplayer aspect to
Death Stranding that's apparently quite significant but we haven't heard much about it. Though, the game will seemingly still be single-player for the most part.
As the game's launch is fast approaching — what with it recently having been
announced that Death Stranding has gone gold — many retailers have updated their respective pages about
Death Stranding. Specifically, the UK site known as GAME recently announced the
"Death Stranding PS4 Pro bundle," wherein it is revealed that
Death Stranding won't require a subscription to PlayStation Plus.
"Paid-for PlayStation Plus subscription required for online multiplayer. Sold separately. Death Stranding does not require PlayStation Plus subscription," reads the site (via
Comicbook.com).
That's a relief except that it doesn't mean that all of the game will function devoid of PlayStation Plus. There could still be some aspects of the upcoming game which require the subscription. However, it seems that it isn't an absolute necessity. Here's hoping it means that players can partake in the online aspects of
Death Stranding without a PlayStation Plus subscription.
